About the project: Amy Herzog’s A Doll’s House is a contemporary, streamlined adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s classic play, designed for modern audiences and productions. Herzog’s version strips down the original text to its essence, modernizing the dialogue while preserving the core themes of female identity, patriarchal constraints, and the search for an authentic life, making the story feel fresh and relevant today. Additional info: Please prepare a brief monologue no longer than 1 ½ minutes. You will also be asked to do cold readings from the script. Show dates: April 10,11, 17-19, and 23-26.
