But Greg is determined NOT to be at the bottom of the popularity chart. He'll leave that to his weird neighbor, Fregley. Or maybe Greg's best friend, Rowley Jefferson. But it's not going to be Greg…no way. See Jeff Kinney's popular character take center stage as Greg's cartoon diary becomes a raucous musical. Will Greg's plans lead him to sacrifice his one true friend? Can anyone avoid the dreaded Cheese Touch? Grab a hall pass and don't be late for an adventure familiar to anyone who actually survived middle school. Rate: No pay. Additional info: Rehearsals Begin: February 25, 2026 Run/Shoot: April 10, 2026 – April 26, 2026 Otherwise, here's what the directors suggest you have in order to make your audition run as smoothly as possible: 1) A headshot. It doesn't have to be professional. Just a good photo that looks like you! you can take it with a camera phone if you'd like. Make sure it is relatively close up, and you have good lighting so the directors can see your face. 2) An acting or theatre resume. You don't have to have a fancy one (although you certainly can). The directors just want to know what you have done performance-wise and in a theatre. If you worked on the stage crew, put that in there, too! 3) (If you are auditioning for a musical or a play) A short monologue that is appropriate for you and the character you are auditioning for. 4) (If you are auditioning for a musical) A song that will show off your voice and is appropriate for you and the character you are auditioning for. The directors prefer that you bring sheet music with you as the directors will have an accompanist, but you can also bring a background track you can play from your phone. 5) A list of conflicts you will have with the rehearsal schedule. This is super important to be honest with yourself if you can not make it to a rehearsal. The directors need to know. Theatre is collaborative, and the directors can not move forward together if people are missing. Please let know your conflicts when you audition. Please see the attachment for details. Brash and obnoxious, Rodrick is the front-man of the heavy-metal, garage band; Löded Diper and delights in torturing Greg and taxing their parents goodwill. Greg’s put-upon father, who possesses an interest in U.S. history and a deep distrust of teenagers. Uncomfortable speaking with tweens, Frank is always trying to toughen Greg up and get him to “go be active,” perhaps in an effort to keep his son from following in his own wimpy footsteps. Greg’s chipper, loving, and overly-supportive mother, Susan is a former Pre-school teacher who is constantly looking for “teachable moments” with her boys. Impossibly adorable and spoiled baby brother of Greg and Rodrick. Manny enjoys exalted status as his parents dote on him and make constant excuses for his behavior. Strong comedic young performer of any gender, to portray a toddler.
