The story follows Hermia and Lysander as they run away to be together, pursued by Demetrius and Helena. Meanwhile, a hilarious group of eager artisans, led by Bottom the weaver, prepare a play for the Duke’s wedding. Deep in the woods, Oberon and Titania—the Fairy King and Queen—fall into an argument that leads Oberon to try and play a trick on Titiana, under his command the mischievous Puck uses magic to stir up confusion all around. The result is a night of comedy, music, and mayhem, where love is tested, identities are mistaken, and joy is found in the chaos. All students are encouraged to audition and be part of this magical outdoor adventure. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to perform the poetry of Shakespeare.
