"The Prince of Egypt" Needs Teenagers
Actors ages 9 and up are invited to audition for "The Prince of Egypt". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: "The Prince of Egypt" is a powerful, epic musical based on the beloved DreamWorks animated film. The story follows Moses, raised as an Egyptian prince, who discovers his true heritage as a Hebrew and is called to lead his people to freedom. Set against the backdrop of ancient Egypt, the show explores themes of faith, identity, sacrifice, and brotherhood through soaring music, emotional storytelling, and breathtaking ensemble moments. Deeply moving and visually stunning, The Prince of Egypt is an inspiring production that brings one of the most enduring stories ever told to life on stage. Additional info: Each performer must present a monologue of no more than 1 minute long and a maximum of a 16-bar cut of a song of your choice. Also, all non-child roles are required to attend the dance auditions as stated above. The choreographer will direct this audition, and no preparation is necessary. Performance Dates: Performances are: July 11, *12, 17, *18, *19, 24, *25. An asterisk indicates a matinee on that day. If it's a Sunday, there's only one show that day. If a Saturday, it will be a 2 PM and 7:30 PM show. Rehearsals: Generally, M, T, and Th are primary days with adjustments if necessary. Choreography dates are generally Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons for a couple of weeks. For the child roles (ages 9-12, please fill out the form and submit.
