Teen Actors Needed for "Calvin Berger" Musical

Seeking actors ages 16 and up for "Calvin Berger". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: A romantic comedy loosely based on the classic Cyrano de Bergerac, set in a contemporary high school and explores unrequited feelings, and insecurity among four high school seniors. Additional info: Choose one or two characters and prepare the following cuts. Directors will have someone on aux playing your cut(s), so no need to bring sheet music! Will have included two recordings for each cut: One with the actor singing and one just the accompaniment. These are the accompaniments directors will use for auditions, so practice accordingly. Headshots/resumes are appreciated but not required. Directors will call each auditionee individually to the room to complete their audition. Once you are finished singing your cut(s), you will be released unless instructed otherwise. Auditionees may be asked to return for a callback on the evening of February 4. You should expect to receive an email from the directorial team by 11:00 AM on the morning of February 4, detailing the arrival time and what to expect / prepare. Callback materials are only to be used at callbacks, not auditions! Come prepared to sing, act, and dress to dance! Music: Briefly go over the callback cuts so that you can learn harmonies. Sam will not fully teach the music. This will help to see how quickly you can pick up and retain material. Sides: The callback sides are also attached below. Feel free to look over them beforehand. Don’t worry about memorizing anything. We will have physical copies of them for you to read as you’re doing the scenes. These are mainly here so you can have knowledge of the scenes you are going to read! Dance Call: Callbacks will also consist of a dance combo that will be taught there by your choreographers.
