About the project: Ride the Cyclone tells the darkly comedic story of six members of a Canadian high school chamber choir who die in a tragic roller coaster accident and find themselves in limbo, where a mechanical fortune teller, Karnak, offers one of them a chance to return to life if they can tell their story and prove they deserve it, leading to poignant and bizarre musical numbers from each distinct teenager. Rate: All roles are paid. All actors must have local housing. Additional info: AEA and Non-Union actors are encouraged to audition. Please begin by telling a bad joke, then directors would love to hear a 1-minute comedic monologue and a 1-minute contemporary musical theatre excerpt. For those wishing to be considered for Jane Doe, please prepare an additional cut of music that shows off your higher register. If you are auditioning for the role of Karnak, no need to sing, but please prepare a one-minute monologue along with a bad magic trick. Callbacks are March 1. Begins rehearsing June 9.
