Seeking Girls and Boys for "Legally Blonde Jr." Show

"Legally Blonde Jr." auditions are open for students ages 10-17 years old. Please see the details below. About the project: Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all. Additional info: You will be seen in the order you arrive. The doors will open 30 minutes prior to start time. Please arrive early to complete the necessary paperwork. Students should prepare a short song, preferably a musical theatre or Disney song. Please bring sheet music or a YouTube/karaoke track. An accompanist will be provided. Students will also learn a short dance combo and may be asked to read from the script. Show Dates are March 13-22nd. Rehearsals will start on January 16 or 18. They will be 2-3 days a week. Days for rehearsals TBD. There may be Saturday or Sunday rehearsals. Directors ask that you please be honest about your conflicts, as they will do their best to work with you if possible! Note that a participation fee will be involved. See the attachment for details.
