"Shrek Jr." The Musical Needs Boys and Girls

Children ages 12-18 are welcome to audition for "Shrek Jr." The Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he’s handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn’t be complete without a few twists and turns along the way. Additional info: Please prepare 16-32 bars from a musical song (about 60-90 seconds). Bring an accompaniment track on a smartphone/tablet / MP3 player. No piano accompanist is provided. Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for a dance audition. For the last portion of auditions, we will sing music and read scenes from the show. Actors should stay for the duration of auditions. Auditions are closed to parents and anyone not auditioning.
