ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking kids ages 10+ for the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical masterpiece, “Oliver!” See the details below. About the project: The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin, who employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy. Oliver! is a musical theatre masterpiece, perfectly showcasing the talents of a large ensemble cast as they bring these classic characters and score to life.  Additional info: Callbacks will consist of scenes and song cuts from the show. Date: Sunday, March 1, 2:00pm - 6:00pm There will be one rehearsal for introductions, read-through, and costume measurements on Wednesday, March 18 from 6pm-10pm. No rehearsals between March 19 and May 11. Rehearsals resume w/Vocals & Costume Measurements, May 12th & 13th Typical weekly rehearsals schedule beginning May 18: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 7:00-10:00pm. Tech & Dress rehearsal: July 6-9 Long Sunday Rehearsal: July 12 Dress rehearsal: July 13 - 15 Show Dates (6): July 17, 18 (evening) & 19 (matinee) July 24, 25 (evening) & 26 (matinee) Wear comfortable clothing and bring all available dance shoes; all dancers will learn a combination that features modern, contemporary, and classic jazz styling. A workhouse orphan, singer (smooth boyish soprano)/actor. British (not cockney) accent, bright and innocent. This character is in approximately 80% of the scenes, parents should note the actor will be required at rehearsal more than any other person in the show.

Artful DodgerBoth genders12-16 y.o.All ethnicities

A street kid, singer/actor. Cockney accent. Very energetic, highly personable, intelligent, and savvy beyond their years, Fagin’s right-hand.

BetFemale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Nancy’s friend may also have worked for Fagin, singer/actress, should move well. Cockney accent. She idolizes Nancy.

Noah ClaypoleMale16-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Undertaker’s apprentice, actor. Cockney accent. May have also come from Workhouse. Feels threatened by, dislikes, and torments young Oliver. Will also be part of the ensemble

Sowerberry’s daughter, actress. Cockney accent. Attracted to Noah, kind of flirty. Will also be part of the ensemble
