About the project: Based on the popular comic strip during the Great Depression, Annie is bound and determined to escape from the ill-kept orphanage she’s in and find her parents, who abandoned her years ago. Along the way, she befriends a loveable mutt named Sandy and foils a scam headed by the orphanage owner, Miss Hannigan, and her ne’er-do-well brother and his girlfriend. All comes to a happy ending, as Annie finds her forever home with billionaire Oliver Warbucks and his faithful secretary.
