Casting Teens for "Cabaret" Stage Play

About the project: Cabaret is a musical set in early-1930s Berlin that reflects the social climate leading up to the rise of Nazism, following artists and everyday people as they navigate love, identity, and personal choice during a pivotal moment in history. The musical features music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff, based on stories by Christopher Isherwood. Additional info: Rehearsals: Mon, Tues, Wed 4-7 PM (some Saturdays from 12-5) beginning Jan 26, 2026. Performances: March 13th, 14th (matinee/evening), and 15th (matinee/evening) Students should submit 32 bars of a musical theater selection in the style of the show. Please ensure that this piece not only displays your vocal abilities but allows the team to see characterization, emotion, and your acting abilities. NOTE: Performers submitting for the role of Cliff should submit a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue. If required, callbacks will be scheduled at a later date, and may be held virtually or in-person depending on the need. Auditioners will be notified accordingly.
