About the project: "Blood Brothers" (music, lyrics, and book by Willy Russell) follows twin boys Mickey Johnstone and Edward “Eddie” Lyons, accidentally separated at birth in 1960s Liverpool. Their mother, Mrs. Johnstone, under financial strain, gives one twin (Eddie) to her wealthy employer, Mrs. Lyons. Though raised in different social classes, the boys meet as children, become inseparable “blood brothers,” and grow up together... unaware they are biological siblings. Their friendship survives childhood into adolescence, including a shared love for Linda, but class differences, personal struggles, and a shocking revelation lead to an unforgettable story climax.
