About the project: The Prince of Egypt is a creative adaptation of the story of Moses based on the 1998 DreamWorks animated movie with music by Stephen Schwartz. Journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt as Ramses and Moses, two young men raised together as brothers in a kingdom of privilege, find themselves suddenly divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharaoh, the other must rise up and free his true people; both face a destiny that will change history forever. Additional info: Please prepare a 16 bar cut of a song from the show or one in a similar style. You will need to provide your own accompaniment track (YouTube video or mp3) to play for your audition. There will be cold readings from the script as well as a dance audition. Along with principle characters, directors need a very strong, large ensemble to carry the majority of the movement and iconic music for this show Looking for understudies of principle characters For more information, see the attachment.
