Teen Actors Needed for "The Woke Tragedy of Richard III" Play

About the project: This cut reimagines Shakespeare’s tragic history play, placing it in a near-future, fallen United States by retaining and restructuring the original text. Richard is the Dyke of Gloucester, the title of “Dyke” being a combination of Duke and Lady created for nobles and oligarchs that engage in gender nonconformity. At ninety minutes, the piece uses a lesbian lens to explore a new perspective on Richard’s psychology, relationships, and demise with intensity and forward momentum. This production is a queer adaptation of "Richard III". Rate: Directors are offering stipends that range from $50-$200 depending on role commitment required. Additional info: This is a micro-budget, non-union production. Directors will be rehearsing throughout the city, but primarily in Gowanus from January 11th through February 18th. Performances will be over two weekends, on February 19th, 20th, 21st, 26th, 27th, and 28th. If you are interested, please apply.
