Young Boys Wanted for "Billy Elliot" Show
Seeking young performers for "Billy Elliot" performance. See details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Please note: This is a volunteer, community theatre production (non-AEA). Performance Dates: May 1–16, 2026 (12 performances) Content Warning: While Billy Elliot features children in the cast, the show’s themes are mature and contain adult language. All parents should be aware of the content of the show before submitting their child for consideration. The directors will present the script as licensed without alterations. Vocal Range: Typically E3–C5 Accent: Northern English accent (a dialect coach will be provided; actors must be able to pick up dialect quickly). Dance: Strong foundation in ballet, tap, and jazz required; gymnastics/acrobatics a plus. Acting: Ability to portray grief, family conflict, and a growing passion for dance with truthful, age-appropriate nuance. Young actors should be comfortable working with adults in scenes.
