Graphic Audiobook Prologue - Dialogue Only
Need acting for the dialogue in red only of the attached prologue. One part is a 9 year old boy, the MMC of the novel. And the other part is his 4 year old sister. As we are producing a dramatized and Graphic Audiobook, similar to audio-drama, we are looking for talents that can easily and convincingly produce the sound effects in tandem with the written dialogue. The children are play fighting with their father, so lots of giggles, squeals, and breathless exclamations. The full prologue is provided to assist the child talent's coach with directing. The end of the prologue contains a moment of terror, so convincing tears are also needed. Both dialogue parts are very brief. 28 words for the 4 yr old's part and 70 words for the boy's. And both will need to provide a short track of the sfx: giggling and other sounds related to play wrestling or fighting an imaginary "bear." Audio provided does not have to be "finished." It may be best to act out the scene to capture the tone.
2 roles
Solla is the MMC's baby sister in this novel, and is engaged in playfighting with her brother against her father who is pretending to be a bear eating the children. This outcast indigenous family lives in a slum apartment and the children stay holed up in the apartment alone during the day when their father goes to work to provide. Solla is female but both genders will be considered. This role contains 28 words of dialogue and we would love to hear a contagious giggle!
Disrel is the eldest sibling carrying a lot of responsibility. Would appreciate a voice that carries a lot of bravery but wants to relax and be a kid. He is dyslexic also. This role contains 70 words of dialogue and will need to be able to provide genuine laughter and sound effects of tussling and wrestling with his dad.
