A fiery, headstrong tomboy with a vivid imagination and a burning ambition to become a famous writer. Her family, especially her sisters, means everything to her. She’s fiercely independent and often clashes with social conventions.
A gentle and shy soul who loves music. She is the peacemaker of the family, adored by all her sisters for her sweet nature. The ability to play piano is a plus.
The youngest March daughter. She is a bit spoiled and vain but has a strong artistic spirit. She dreams of becoming a refined lady and a celebrated artist. (Act One)
(Act Two) Now a young woman, Amy continues to pursue her art and her goal of becoming a sophisticated lady. She is more poised and refined, but still has a mischievous streak. (This character has stage intimacy with Laurie.)
(Theodore Laurence) The wealthy, charming, and playful grandson of the Marches’ neighbor. He quickly becomes Jo’s best friend and an honorary member of the March family. (This character has stage intimacy with Amy.)
