"Newsies Jr." Show Needs Child Singers

Kids ages 8-12 are welcome to audition for the "Newsies Jr." Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what's right. Additional info: Rehearsals will begin on February 27 and will be held on Wednesday and Friday from 5:00-8:00 pm. Not every character will be called for every rehearsal, though central characters will attend almost every rehearsal. The number of rehearsals you attend depends on your role. Actors will be called in for a 30-60 minute costume fitting on a Saturday. Technical rehearsals are May 4-7 from 5:00-9:00 pm ,and all cast members must be present. Directors permit NO absences or conflicts of any kind during tech week. Note that a participation fee will be applied. If interested, please apply.
