About the project: A deeply moving contemporary musical, Dear Evan Hansen follows Evan, a socially anxious high schooler whose life changes after a lie spirals out of control. When a classmate’s death leads others to believe Evan was his best friend, Evan suddenly finds himself at the center of a viral movement about connection and belonging. As he basks in newfound attention, he must confront what it means to be seen, to tell the truth, and to truly connect in an age of social media and isolation. Additional info: — Registration is from 11:00am – 11:30am This audition is not by appointment — all interested performers should arrive before 11:30am. Date: January 30, 31, February 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 2026 PREPARATIONS - Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of music found in Dear Evan Hansen. - An accompanist will be provided. A bluetooth speaker will be available for instrumental tracks. No acapella auditions. - You may be asked to read selections from the script, depending on time. - Please bring a headshot and resume. (If you pre-register, we will have your headshot and resume at the audition.) - Please bring ALL known conflicts between December 14, 2025 – February 15, 2026. REHEARSAL INFORMATION - Although the schedules are currently not set, productions typically rehearse *select* weeknights (Monday – Friday, anywhere between 6:30pm – 10:00pm.) Occasional weekend rehearsals may occur depending on the conflicts and needs of the production. - Most, if not all, rehearsals will be held onsite at Players by the Sea.
