About the project: Fiddler on the Roof is a Tony-winning Broadway musical and an Academy Award-winning 1971 film adaptation, both based on Sholem Aleichem's "Tevye the Dairyman" stories. The story follows Tevye, a poor Jewish milkman in Imperial Russia, as he and his family navigate challenges to their traditions and beliefs amidst social and political upheaval in the early 1900s.
