Audition for "Anastasia" Seeks Kids and Teens
All auditioners 17 years of age and up will be considered for all roles, except for the role of Young Anastasia/Alexei Romanov. The role of Young Anastasia/Alexei Romanov is open to actresses 7-13 years of age, to play 6-8 years old onstage. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Rehearsals: Tuesday/Thursday evenings 6-9 PM and Sunday afternoons 2-5 PM, beginning on December 30, 2025. Baritenor Dmitry is a failed, but hopeful and sly conman looking for a chance in life. Dmitry is passionate and optimistic about pulling off the perfect scheme to prove the real Anastasia exists. Little does he know this quest will take him to new heights, show his tender, genuine, lovable side, and require him to look within at the deeper meaning of love and life.
Soprano/Mezzo Anya, the second youngest child of the Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra, is a young woman with fading memories of her past. Throughout the show, Anya becomes passionate about re-discovering who she has always been; adventurous, passionate, strong-willed, determined, and unstoppable. Anya wears her heart on her sleeve and is destined to unveil the truth of her own life story.
Baritone, Tenor Gleb Vaganov is a loyal, strict, Soviet officer and symbol of Russian politics in the story, whose power holds strong onstage and amongst the Russian streets. Gleb’s role replaces the character, Rasputin, in the movie adaptation of Anastasia, portraying a villainous energy. Gleb’s loyalty to the communist ideals runs deep in the world of the Russian Revolution-era.
Olga Romanov is the oldest daughter of the Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra. This role will also play Paulina.
Tatiana Romanov is the second oldest daughter of the Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra. This role will also play Dunya.
Maria Romanov is the third oldest/middle daughter of the Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra. This role will also play Marfa.
At the top of the show, the Prologue takes place when Anastasia is six years old. Young Anastasia at 17 is Anastasia at this age, through the passage of time in the Prologue sequence.
