Casting Teen Performers for "Big Fish" Show
High school and middle school students are welcome to audition for "Big Fish" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Come prepared to move at your audition. Bring a cutting of a Broadway or golden era song (we will have an accompanist, or you may choose to sing to a background track) Prepare a monologue, poem, or prose piece under one minute in length; feel free to select one from the packet attached, or bring your own. If using a monologue from this packet (all of which are from the musical), do not limit yourself based on gender identity - find something that feels fun and interesting to you! Callbacks, if needed, are scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 11. Performances are Thursday, March 26 through Sunday, March 29 in the LMC Mendel Center Jenkins Theatre. Rehearsals begin the week of January 12. They will regularly run from 6-9 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, with occasional Friday and Sunday rehearsals a possibility. If interested, please apply.

(plays old and young 15-60 years old). Edward is a charming, charismatic storyteller. A devoted yet absent father nearing the end of his life and wanting to reconnect with his son. He is comfortable in his own skin but hopes for Will’s approval. He absolutely loves his wife, his son, and telling stories. Needs a big voice and serious character acting. Plays ages ranging from high school to late 20s/ young father to older, sick man. Able to move but little real dance.
Plays young cheerleader to a tired older woman. Edward’s devoted, first girlfriend. She is beautiful, a dreamer, maybe a little blonde. As the older Jenny, she is a very tired, disillusioned version of the younger Jenny. She has dignity and honesty.
Older snarky bully. Sandra’s first fiancé.
Nerdy brother and shadow of Don Price.

Ensemble role that is movement based, she might use the aerial hammock, needs to dance .
