Singing Audition for "Seussical Jr." Show

Children aged 7-17 are welcome to audition for "Seussical Jr.". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, risk, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! Additional info: Rehearsal attendance is SO IMPORTANT. They will be on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday from 5:30-7:30, and Saturday from 10:00-3:00. Not everyone will be required to attend all rehearsals. Each person will average about two, possibly three, rehearsals per week. Are you willing to commit to the rehearsal days, with very few exceptions? Production dates are February 27, 28, and March 1st, and the following weekend, March 6th, 7th, and 8th. There will be two casts, with each cast doing their own weekend. Directors will also do school shows each of those Fridays, so you must be able to participate on those days to be eligible for casting in the show.
