About the project: Debra is an elderly widow still grieving the loss of her husband, Robert. Struggling to deal with this major change, Debra no longer feels quite like herself, though she's trying her best to hold it together. But things take an eerie turn when she starts receiving strange phone calls, including some that seem to be from her late husband, warning of impending danger. When Debra's niece Nan arrives with her family, seemingly unexpectedly, Debra must decide if she should trust the people in front of her who claim to love her, or the increasingly urgent voice of her beloved husband. Willie is a young man in his late teens who's more interested in whatever's on his phone than what's around him. A sophomore in college, he's not particularly enthusiastic about his studies either. He does, however, care about Debra, his aunt and godmother, who's always been there for him. Therefore, he never misses an opportunity to drop by for a visit, especially now that she seems to be ailing. Willie is determined to look out for his aunt Debra, late-teenage aloofness notwithstanding.
