Seeking young performers for "A Gentleman’s Guide" auditions — Details Below. About the project: This Tony-award winning musical tells the tale of low-born Monty Navarro, a clerk who discovers he’s ninth in line for an earldom. His elitist family isn’t interested in a relationship and his girlfriend refuses to marry anyone who isn’t rich, so Monty decides to eliminate the eight relatives in his way to wealth and position. Although this may sound ghoulish, this musical is a humorous romp showcasing an over-the-top plot and creative music. Additional info: Organizers say to come prepared with 16 - 32 bars from a song of your choice. Be prepared to read from the script and perhaps do some acting exercises on stage to show off your comedic timing. If needed, callbacks will be Dec. 14 at 1 pm.. Finding himself on the brink of destitution and with the love of his life on the line, Monty decides there's no other option but to make his destiny his own. He's handsome, endearing, charismatic, and a bit odd with an intense desire to prove himself.
Vocal Range G3-D5 The girl Monty murders for. Sibella comes from a wealthy family, and she's not the type to marry for silly reasons like love. Her seemingly bubbly demeanor barely masks her cold nature and vanity. Sibella is poised, ruthless, and flirtatious.
Vocal Range:C4-Bb 6 (opt Eb) Monty's cousin. Sister of Henry DY’Squith, she finds herself charmed by Monty after her brother's unexpected passing. Phoebe wears her heart on her sleeve. Genuine, book smart, selfless and kind.
