“The Prince of Egypt” Show Seeks Boys and Girls

About the project: The Prince of Egypt is a sweeping epic of a musical with music and lyrics by Grammy and Oscar winner Stephen Schwartz, a book by Philip LaZebnik, and 10 new songs written by Schwartz, together with five of his songs from the DreamWorks Animated film. The show also features Schwartz’s Academy Award-winning song, “When You Believe.” This hit musical is a moving and epic tale based on the Book of Exodus and the beloved, Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animated film. Journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt as Ramses and Moses, two young men raised together as brothers in a kingdom of privilege, find themselves suddenly divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharaoh, the other must rise up and free his true people; both face a destiny that will change history forever. Additional info: Please prepare a one-minute portion of a song from the musical or a classic Broadway song that showcases your voice. You will first sing your prepared song and then will do a cold reading from the script. After singing and reading you will do a dance audition which will consist of learning a small dance number from the show and showcase any type of dance style or training you have had. Please wear comfortable clothes that you can dance in and wear closed-toe shoes or character/dance shoes.
