About the projects: "The Clown Court Case" The Clown Court Case follows the misadventurous day of Clarence Brown, a.k.a Chuckles the Clown, as he is summoned to court after allegedly traumatizing a young boy at his own birthday party. He is eventually proven innocent after hearing the multiple accounts of what allegedly happened at the birthday party. "A Baker's Dozen": A Baker's Dozen is a drama in a small town about an over-protective young man who confronts his brother's assailant; he desires to protect his gay younger brother from those who torment his brother's lifestyle by beating them up. This becomes difficult because he is also reluctant to his brother's flamboyancy, he gets arrested, his mom disapproves of his actions, and the bully gets away with it. Additional info: Each production has its own unique and diverse stories, crafted with the intention to be seen. Stories that have been developed, and continue to be developed, for quite some time. These are stories that directors have decided to produce over the remainder of the 25-26 school year, set to shoot early in the spring semester. Please prepare 1-2 monologues you believe best suit your talent as an actor. There is a lot of opportunity for casting here. The monologues should be contrasting so directors can see two performance types. They will also have sides available to you. Contrasting monologues are those with different emotional approaches or from two distinct genres, such as comedic and dramatic.
