Teen Talent Needed for "May the Sky Relearn Its Color" Film

About the project: LOGLINE: During the late-stage era of the universe, a teenage girl gets a “procedure” done which twists her spine and sends her to a utopic version of earth. SYNOPSIS: The universe is dying. Humanity and culture is crumbling. Morals are murky, and most people have no motivation to change. Signs of “the end” manifest everywhere as crumbling mountains, loss of language, disappearing stars, religious ambiguity, etc. A young girl named Noam has a certain zest for life. We witness slices of her daily life - seeing her resourceful character against an apocalyptic backdrop. Her optimism catches the attention of her wise biology teacher, Dr. Louis, who privately pitches to her a nascent, experimental surgery he himself developed: A spine/brain twisting process which will send Noam into an alternate dimension with restored values. Noam is ecstatic to receive such an offer, but grapples with feelings of guilt, wondering if she is selfish for going through with the surgery. Her sister, Golda, questions the validity and credentials of Dr. Louis, complicating things even more. Throughout the film, Noam and Golda convey their complex feelings about the procedure: nervous about losing each other - yet learning to accept that this may be the only way Noam can set herself free - and maybe even bring vital information back to a dying earth.
