Dance Opportunities for Kids in "Shrek Kids"

Looking for performers in Grades 2–5 for "Shrek Kids". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical KIDS, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It's a "big bright beautiful world" as everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek KIDS is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family. [Please note: Shrek KIDS is an abbreviated version of a full show. The run time of the show is approximately 30 minutes.] Additional info: The audition will consist of a vocal audition and a dance audition. -For the vocal audition, auditioners should be prepared to sing approximately 30 seconds of any song, a acapella. Directors recommend that auditioners choose a song that is age-appropriate and shows off their vocal strengths. -For the dance audition, auditioners will be taught a short dance that they will perform for our staff. Children must participate in both the vocal audition and dance audition in order to be cast in the show. All children will be singing and dancing in the show. Auditioners should bring a recent photo, no larger than 4 x 6, to the auditions. Directors also recommend bringing a water bottle and shoes that are comfortable for the dance audition.
