"Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Needs Teens

About the project: An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun! Additional info: Auditions are open to performers ages 16 and above. Performers under the age of 18 require written parental/guardian consent to audition. Please prepare a solo of your choice (musical theatre or classical style preferred) with a minimum of a 30 second duration (approximately 16 bars of singing.) Performers must provide music track (karaoke style without lead vocals) on a phone. No a cappella solos permitted. Directors recommend arriving early to complete necessary audition forms. In addition to performing their prepared solos, performers will cold read selections from the script and learn/perform a short choreographed section at auditions (closed toe shoes required).
