About the project: R.U.R., or Rossum's Universal Robots, is a play adapted by Brandi Douglas, set in a world where AI humanoid robots called Synthetics, created by AiTopia, have become integral to human society. Rossum's Universal Robots, or RUR, was written in 1922. A play ahead of its time, it's left a mark on the world and science fiction, in particular. RUR introduced us to the word 'robot' and laid the groundwork for sci-fi classics like Blade Runner, Battlestar Galactica, and the Westworld TV series. In the original play, the robots turn on their human masters. They kill all but one, dooming humanity.
