About the project: Synopsis: Rock of Ages is a jukebox musical set in 1987 Hollywood, following aspiring rockers Drew and Sherrie as they chase their dreams on the Sunset Strip, a journey complicated by the impending demolition of their favorite rock club, the Bourbon Room, and the arrival of the decadent rock star Stacee Jaxx. Amidst the 80s rock and power ballads of the era, Drew and Sherrie navigate their on-again, off-again relationship and attempt to save the legendary venue from German developers planning to build a strip mall. Additional info: When auditioning directors ask that you sing a song that best shows off your vocal range. They will have an accompanist available as well as a blue-tooth speaker. Directors ask that you please DO NOT SING Acappella. Please come dressed comfortably for a dance portion of the audition. If you have character/dance shoes they highly recommend you bringing those with you for your audition. Video submissions are allowed and accepted. Callbacks by invitation only: Sunday, November 2.
