"Little Women"
Audition for "Little Women". Auditioners must be 17 years old or older to participate. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Video Audition Submission Deadline Callbacks Sunday, October 26th (subject to availability) First Read-Through October 27th @ 7 PM Tech Week: January 25th – February 5th 2026 Show Dates: February 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, & 15th 2026. Fridays @ 7:30 PM, Saturdays & Sundays @ 2PM. Strike: February 15th, immediately following the last performance Auditioners must prepare a song cut no longer than one minute in length. The song choice should be from a musical and in the style of the show, but must not be a song from the show. Providing a backing track is required, and a speaker will be provided for playing tracks. Audition songs should be memorized. Dancing Auditioners will be taught a short dance combination at auditions, please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Close-toed shoes that can be laced or strapped securely are required. If auditioners do not wear acceptable shoes, they will be asked to change shoes. If they do not have acceptable footwear to change to, they will not be able to audition that day. Reading Acting auditions will consist of cuts from the script. Friday, October 24th @ 6:30 PM When applying, please submit Video Audition. At the beginning of the video audition submission, please slate with your name, age, character(s) you are auditioning for, and the name of the song you'll be singing, and the show your audition song is from. The same requirements stated above will be used for your video audition reading cuts. The audition reading cuts are linked below. Please choose the cut(s) for the character(s) that you will be auditioning for. Choose one cut to read for each character you are auditioning for. You will not be asked to dance, but you may be asked to participate in a dance audition at Callbacks.

Our story's protagonist. Passionate, adventurous, and brave. She has the idea of writing Little Women and eventually becomes engaged to Professor Bhaer. Vocal range: Mezzo Soprano, E3-A5
The world-weary, yet hopefully romantic oldest sister who yearns for a great life. She marries John and has twins with him. Doubles as Clarissa. Clarissa - The ingénue in Jo’s story; prone to fainting, sobbing dramatically, ultimately finds her courage. Vocal range: Soprano, Bb3-Bb5
The second youngest sister who tragically dies of Scarlet Fever. A loving peace-maker who is the glue that brings the sisters together, and an optimist who is always encouraging her sisters to dream. Doubles as Rodrigo II. Rodrigo II - In Jo’s story, the real hero, Clarissa’s long-lost sister in disguise. Vocal range: Soprano, A3-G5
The youngest, most energetic sister with a rather pompous air about her. She later marries Laurie. Doubles as The Troll. The Troll - In Jo’s story the classic lives-under-the-bridge troll; hoards jewels and gems and makes bargains. Vocal range: Soprano, B3-F#5
The bright-eyed boy-next-door with considerable charm. He loves Jo but later falls in love with Amy. Doubles as Rodrigo I. Roderigo I - The obvious hero in Jo’s story; handsome, saving-the-day with much bravado. Vocal range: Tenor, Bb2-Bb4
