About the project: Cameron Mackintosh and Disney’s Mary Poppins is a musical based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney film. Set in England in 1910, your favorites from the 1964 film are here, including “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” "Spoonful of Sugar," and “Feed the Birds," as are characters from the Mary Poppins books (Travers wrote eight between 1934 and 1988) and songs written for the musical. There are many featured roles within the ensemble that showcase acting, singing and dancing talents. Additional info: . (Please include dance experience on the resume—particularly note any tap, jazz and/or ballet.) Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of Mary Poppins (but preferably not from the show). An accompanist will be provided; please bring your sheet music in the correct key. Each time slot will consist of a singing audition and a brief group dance call; please dress accordingly. The cheeky son of George and Winifred Banks, Michael Banks is excitable and naughty, adores his father and tries to be like him. Both he and Jane misbehave in order to get the attention of their parents. UNBROKEN (A3-E5).
