About the project: Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut… but life just isn’t the same without a bit of song and dance. Jim’s luck takes a spectacular turn when he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they turn the farmhouse into a fabulous inn with dazzling performances to celebrate each holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July. But when Jim’s best friend Ted tries to lure Linda to Hollywood to be his new dance partner, will Jim be able to salvage his latest chance at love? Additional info: Due to creative team scheduling, initial auditions will be taking place via video submissions only. Callbacks will take place, as needed, on Wednesday, October 22.. Rehearsals will begin on/about the week of October 27. Rehearsals will take place weekday evenings and weekends during the day with at least one day off per week. Please be prepared to list any conflicts from October 27-December 21. The performance dates are December 4-21, Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 PM. When applying, please film yourself singing 16-32 bars (roughly 60-90 seconds) in the style of, or from, the show. Video links can be uploaded to the form, along with your headshot and resume. You will also be able to upload additional footage such as a dance reel. Additionally, two short combos taught by the choreographer, including a tap combo, can be found in the form and you may choose to film either or both of these. Videos will be accepted until 11:59PM on October 19.
