George's wife and Jane and Michael's mother. A former actress, she is loving and a distracted homemaker as she tries to live up to George's desire to only associate with the "best people." She strives to be the model wife and mother. She struggles with feelings of inadequacy at being "Mrs. Banks" however she is practically perfect for the role. High spirited daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Banks. Bright and precocious, but can also be snobby and willful.

Cute and cheeky son of Mr and Mrs Banks, and little brother to Jane. Excitable and naughty, he adores his father and tries to be like him. Both he and Jane often misbehave to try to gain attention from their parents.

Jane and Michael's Nanny at the beginning of the show - totally overwhelmed and upset and has had her fill of the Banks children.
