About the project: Leapin' lizards America's most beloved musical ANNIE will once again be hit the stage at the Historic Star Theatre in downtown Oceanside, giving a whole new generation the chance to experience this classic musical about grit, determination, and never giving up hope. Boasting one of Broadway’s most memorable scores, including It’s a Hard Knock Life, Easy Street, Never Fully Dressed without a Smile, and the ever-optimistic Tomorrow, Annie is a delightful theatrical experience for the entire family! Additional info: Show Dates: DECEMBER 11 - 14 Prepare 16- 32 bars from a musical (no longer than one minute) via smartphone or other digital device (that connects to a standard mini headphone jack or Bluetooth) as accompaniment in the appropriate key. Please, no background vocals and no a cappella singing. WILL NOT have a piano accompanist. Sing any song of your choice that best represents your talent and vocal range (a song from the show is fine). Bring one copy of your resume. Be sure your resume is up to date. If you do not have a resume, there will be room on your audition form to list any pertinent information you would like the directors to know about you. Bring one photo or headshot. If you do not have a professional picture, a school photo will do. It’s important that the directors are able to reference you when casting is taking place. Bring a list of your conflicts with you. It’s important for the directors to know what your schedule is to make sure you are available for all of the rehearsals you will be required to attend. Callbacks are a second audition process where a director will consider you for a particular role in the show. If you do not receive a callback, it does not mean you were not cast in the show. Callback Date: (by Director's invitation only): Wednesday, November 5, time TBD Rehearsals Begin: Monday, November 10. Rehearsals will typically take place Monday – Friday evenings. Performers are only called to rehearsal if needed.
