Forget the doom, gloom, and life "lessons". Charlie’s Christmas Carol Story is a fun, fast-paced comedy version of Dickens’ classic tale - packed with comedy, backstage chaos, audience participation, and holiday cheer. The show will feature both live performances and separately filmed backstage scenes. Additional info: Actors cast in this production will be part of the live stage version AND the film. Please prepare a short comedic monologue (1–2 minutes). Cold readings from the script may also be provided. Be prepared to show strong comedic timing, improv skills, and flexibility with character work. The youngest of the troupe, earnest and eager to shine. As Tiny Tim she’s sweet and sincere, as Past she’s strangely spooky, and backstage she’s sharp and blunt beyond her years. Her quick switches in tone often create unplanned comedy.
The eager younger boy in the cast, always trying to prove himself. As Boy Scrooge, he’s endearingly awkward, and as Ignorance, he leans into spooky exaggeration. Backstage he’s excitable and easily distracted, often missing his cue because he’s watching the show instead of preparing for it.
