Seeking Teens for "Anne of Green Gables" The Musical
Casting performers ages 16 and up for "Anne of Green Gables" The Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on L.M. Montgomery’s timeless classic, Anne of Green Gables – The Musica, which has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s longest-running annual musical theatre production follows the rise of Anne Shirley, a feisty, red-haired orphan who arrives unexpectedly in the small farming community of Avonlea, and soon captures the hearts and minds of her newfound family and neighbours. Additional info: Directors kindly request that all audition participants wear a mask upon arrival at the theatre and while waiting for their audition slot. Auditioners are asked to prepare two contrasting song selections. One must be from a musical. Those auditioning for the role of Anne Shirley are especially encouraged to prepare a comedic piece. Please do not sing any musical numbers from "Anne of Green Gables - The Musical" at your audition. There will be no accompanist. We encourage you to bring a karaoke or backing track that can be shared via Bluetooth. Alternatively, you may sing a cappella. CALLBACKS: Saturday, October 25: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The show runs from Friday, February 13, to Sunday, March 1, 2026. Tech Week is scheduled from Sunday, February 8, to Thursday, February 12, 2026. First rehearsal is Sunday, November 16th, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm Rehearsals will be held three times a week, two weeknights and Sunday afternoons. SHOW DATES: February 13 – March 1, 2026. Soprano. A young girl, Anne is exuberant and precocious. She is scholastic and well-intentioned, but has a fiery temper.
Mezzo-Soprano. Loyal, agreeable and sweet, Diana is Anne's best friend, schoolmate and kindred spirit.
Tenor. Gilbert is smart, handsome, and confident. Good-natured but cocky, he inadvertently becomes Anne's adversary.
Mezzo-Soprano. Selfish, harsh and scheming, Josie is Anne's worst enemy.
