Kids Needed for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" Show
Child performers 2nd Grade and up are needed for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: The Hermans are the worst kids in the history of the world-so when they crash Sunday school and demand parts in the Christmas pageant, the whole town panics! There is not supposed to be biting or cigar smoking in Bethlehem, and while these kids have never even heard the Christmas story, they definitely have rewrites! Soon, everyone is calling for reluctant director Grace Bradley to cancel the whole thing. It's up to the Bradley's and the Reverend to help their community see the Christmas story and the Herdman kids through new eyes in this buoyant musical adaptation of the funny and touching holiday classic. Additional info: Auditions will consist of a three-step process. In groups, you will be taught music and some light choreography. You will then present that to the audition panel. To help you prepare for auditions, directors encourage you to review the character descriptions, listen to and practice the music, and complete an online audition form. After singing and dancing, your audition will be complete. If more is needed, you will be called for a callback to do any type of solo work or reading. Do not worry if you are not called back; it means the panel has everything they need. The group audition music and choreography will be provided at auditions, not ahead of time. Please note that although you may only audition for one role, you will be considered for all roles in the production. Costumes are provided. Depending on the show, individual cast members may be asked to provide parts of their costumes. Basic makeup will be required of all cast members. The show will be presented at Nettleton Performing Arts Center on December 6th and December 7th, 2025. Saturday at 6pm, and a Sunday performance at 2pm. School performances will be held on Thursday, December 4th. Due to the Jonesboro Christmas Parade, there is no performance on Friday, December 5th. Note that a participation fee will be applied. See the attachment for details. If interested, please apply.
