Kids and Teens Needed for "The SpongeBob Musical"

Seeking talent ages 10 and up for "The SpongeBob Musical". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Plunge into this stunning all-singing, all-dancing, dynamic stage show! When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world! Based on the beloved animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg, The SpongeBob Musical features a book by Kyle Jarrow and original songs by an extraordinary lineup of artists including Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants, and T.I. The score also features songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley, with additional lyrics by Jonathan Coulton and additional music by Tom Kitt. The production was conceived by Tina Landau. Additional info: An information session about the auditions and production will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the HfA Studio. Attending the info night is not mandatory. Rehearsals begin Sunday, January 4, 2026, and will be held on Wednesdays (7:00–10:00 pm) and Sundays (12:00–4:00 pm). Performances run for seven shows at the Algonquin Theatre from April 10–19, 2026. If interested, please apply by October 18 at 12:00 pm.
