Seeking Kids and Teens for "Annie" Show
Actors auditioning for the orphans must be at least 8 years old. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will begin the week of October 12th and will typically run Sunday through Thursday from 6:30-9:30pm. Actors will only be called to rehearsals if they are needed. PERFORMANCES: December 5th-14th (Fridays @ 7:30pm; Saturdays @ 2:30 & 7:30, Sundays @ 2:30). Those auditioning are asked to come prepared with a 1-2 minute cut of a musical theatre song that matches the style of the show. A piano accompanist will be available for anyone using prepared sheet music in the correct key. Bluetooth accessibility will also be available for anyone using a backing tracks for their audition - no tracks with vocals will be accepted. Auditioners may also be asked to cold read from the script Following everyone’s vocal audition, we will be conducting a group dance audition that involves everybody. (mezzo soprano) - A plucky, optimistic orphan with a fiery spirit and big heart. Must be a strong singer/actor with excellent stage presence. Carries the show.
(child’s voice/mezzo soprano) – The youngest orphan. Comic and endearing, often steals scenes with charm.
(child’s voice/mezzo soprano) – The toughest orphan. Bossy, street-smart, and defiant.
(child’s voice/mezzo soprano) – An older orphan. Loud, boisterous, and full of energy.
( child’s voice/soprano) – A quieter orphan, motherly and sweet in contrast to the louder girls.
(child’s voice/soprano) – Emotional and prone to whining, frequently repeats her signature line: “Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!”
(child’s voice/soprano) – A shy, quiet orphan who blends but still has personality.
(male, baritone) – Warbucks’ British butler. Proper, dignified, with dry wit.
