Child Dancers Needed for "The Nutcracker" Ballet

Seeking dancers ages seven and up for "The Nutcracker" Ballet. Please see the details below. About the project: “The Nutcracker” was first performed in Russia in 1892. The ballet, in two acts, takes the audience to a family party where a gift of a nutcracker is given to Clara, the daughter of the Stahlbaums. As a clock strikes midnight, neighborhood mice appear and a battle occurs with the soldiers, the King Mouse, and the Nutcracker Prince. At the conclusion, the audience is taken to the Kingdom of Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets. Later, the Sugar Plum Fairy with her Cavalier signals the end of the dream when Clara’s parents tuck her safely in her bed. Additional info: Dancers must commit to nine weeks of rehearsals, mostly on weekends. Family members will help as volunteers.
