Singing Audition for "The Lion King Jr."
Kids in grades 4-8 are welcome to audition for "The Lion King" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Disney’s The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, and now you have the opportunity to produce this one-of-a-kind musical in your community. Bring the African savanna to life on your stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. The Lion King JR. features classic songs from the Broadway musical and animated feature film, including “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “He Lives in You,” and “Hakuna Matata.” Young performers will also get the chance to learn a wide range of new theatrical skills—such as mask-making and puppetry—encouraging them to explore this beloved story with creativity and pride. Additional info: This production will predominantly rehearse on Mondays and Fridays 4:30 - 7:00 and Saturdays 9:00 - 12:00. Performances: March 6th & 7th, 2026 Note that a fee will be applied. A slick, yet childish hyena who portrays nastiness and gruffness. He works for Scar and would be the leader of the hyenas if he weren’t so lazy.
Tough, sassy hyena who works for Scar. Always looking out for #1, has a long, loud obnoxious laugh and is menacing to Simba & Nala.
Dimwitted hyena who serves Scar. Since his loud, cackling laugh is his only form of verbal communication, Ed has a highly expressive face and pronounced physical gestures.
