Singing Audition for "Annie" Musical
Seeking girls ages 10-14 for "Annie" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Annie is a classic, feel-good musical full of big characters, heart, and humor! Join plucky orphan Annie on her adventures through 1930s New York City as she escapes the clutches of the awful Miss Hannigan, teams up with her trusty pup Sandy, and finds a new family with billionaire Oliver Warbucks and his kind secretary, Grace Farrell. With unforgettable songs like “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” this show is packed with colorful roles—from orphans and servants to street vendors, radio stars, and even President Roosevelt—making it a fantastic ensemble show for actors of all ages. Additional info: Please prepare one of the audition music selections attached to the sign-up link, which has been chosen by the production team. Do not prepare anything that is not on this list. Please be familiar with the story and content of this show before auditioning. Please be dressed in comfortable clothing and footwear appropriate for a dance/movement activity. You may be asked to cold read some sides for some characters during your audition (if you aren’t asked to read, it does NOT mean that you’re not being considered)! While not necessary, you may bring a current resume and headshot if available. A street-wise orphan; spirited, friendly, big-voiced. This is a lead role with a significant responsibility for singing, speaking, and dance/movement. (Please note that there may be one performance at which the ANNIE understudy will play the role. This has not been confirmed, but the actor playing ANNIE should be aware this could be the case).
Casting three ENSEMBLE ORPHANS one of which may be the understudy for ANNIE. If so, the UNDERSTUDY will have one guaranteed date to play ANNIE during the run, and play an ENSEMBLE ORPHAN for the rest of the run.
