About the project: The director has adapted A Christmas Carol directly from Dickens’ novel, staying true to the timeless story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey from “bah humbug” to joy and generosity. To bring an extra touch of holiday magic, this production features the delightful songs by composer Jule Styne and lyricist Bob Merrill. The music brings charm, nostalgia, and warmth to Dickens’ tale in a unique and heartwarming way. Additional info: You should plan to spend about 2 hours at the theater for auditions (perhaps a little more or less, depending on turnout). Headshot and resume are not required. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Those wanting singing parts should sing a section from a traditional Christmas Carol. Some parts can be doubled, and other people will become party guests in two scenes. Rehearsals for A Christmas Carol will be on Sunday afternoons and Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7 pm. Tech rehearsals will be held on November 30 – December 3. All actors will be expected to assist with set build and strike. Please bring a list of any conflicts you may have with auditions. Performances will be held on December 5, 6, 12, 13 at 7 pm and December 7, 14 at 2 pm If interested, please apply.
