Kid Actors Needed for "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr."

Ages: Roles available for performers aged 8–18. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the Show: Because of his shiny nose, Rudolph doesn’t feel like he belongs in Christmastown and sets off to find a place that accepts him. Along the way, he encounters fellow misfits and learns that being different is what makes you special. When a storm threatens to keep Santa’s sleigh grounded, Rudolph must find the courage to save Christmas! Additional info: Vocal Audition: Prepare 16–24 bars of a musical theatre song (not from Rudolph) Bring 2 copies of sheet music for the accompanist No a cappella auditions Sheet music must be in a pianist-ready format (no lead sheets or vocal-only scores) Highlight the section of music you’ll perform Evaluation criteria: Pitch, volume, tone, diction, emotional expression, and acting while singing Monologue: Prepare a short, 1-minute monologue from a play or book. Please do not select monologues from film or TV scripts. Should demonstrate comic emotion and strong theatrical expression Memorization is required.
