Casting Teen Performers for "Into the Woods Jr." Show

Grades 6-10 are welcome to audition for "Into the Woods Jr." Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: "Into the Woods, JR." features all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk), and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever. Additional info: Rehearsals will be held at Iowa Conservatory (ICON) , October 8-November 15, during the following time blocks: Wednesday 6:30-8:30 pm Thursday 6:30-8:30 pm Saturday 12:30-3:30 pm Cast members will not be called for every rehearsal. Tech Week will be November 16-20 at The James Theater (rehearsals may run longer than 8:30 pm these days). Performances will be November 21-23 (with a possibility of a performance on November 20) at The James Theater. Note that a fee will be applied.
