Casting Call for Teens for "Annie" Musical
Actors in grades 9-12 from Henryetta High School are welcome to audition for the "Annie" Musical. Please see the details below. Additional info: Please prepare a song of your choice, a cappella or with your own accompaniment (A song in the style of the show is encouraged) Singing callbacks to follow the open call. Boys - Please be familiar with "NYC", "Easy Street", "Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" Girls - Please be familiar with "Tomorrow", "Little Girls", & "NYC" Dance Call: Please wear comfortable clothing to move in. Owner of the "upscale" all girls orphanage. Desperately unhappy and drowns her sorrows in all vices. Annie's arch nemesis. She is cruel "has been" who uses people and children for her own personal gain. She is slinky and has comedic timing. Hates kids.
A powerful businessman. He is self-assured and appears cold to many but is hiding a softer side. A millionaire who made his money in industry. He lives a very opulent life but feels like he is missing something.
Warbucks' calm, cool private secretary and confidant. She is a little uptight and very business-like but has a fondness for Annie. She is sophisticated, classy, and educated. She exudes upper east side living.
Miss Hannigan's skeezy brother and con man. He loves flashy clothes and moves around like a smooth gambler. He is sly, deceiving, and has had a couple run ins with the cops. Would sell his own mother for a good deal. Comedic timing is a plus. Also hates kids.
Rooster's airhead girlfriend and fellow con lady. She is a bit of a floozy and has the mental capacity of a goldfish. Loves anything shiny like money. Comedic timing is a plus. Also hates kids.
A future Broadway star with a booming voice full of hope as she moves to NYC to fulfill her dreams.
The ultimate radio personality who is very charismatic.
Bert Healy's assistants and trio of sisters who sing in tight harmony.
The 32nd President of the United States. He is inspired by Annie's optimism and does all he can to help Annie find her parents and get America out of the depression.
