About the project: The Story: Fiddler on the Roof follows Tevye, a poor milkman in the village of Anatevka, who struggles to maintain his Jewish religious and cultural traditions in the face of changing times. As his daughters begin to challenge long-standing customs—particularly those around arranged marriage—Tevye must reconcile his deep-rooted beliefs with the desires of the people he loves. His wife, Golde, is a pragmatic woman who faces the same generational and societal shifts with strength and determination. Their daughters—Tzeitel, Hodel, and Chava—each forge their own paths in love and identity.
